Q: What is Henna?
A: Henna is a plant that grows in the Middle East.  The leaves of the plant are dried, ground and sifted into an ultra fine powder.  The powder is then mixed into a paste using an assortment of ingredients such as lemon juice, black tea, coffee, sugar and various essential oils like tea tree and lavender.

** We use only fresh henna powder and all natural ingredients in our recipes.

Q: How long does the stain last?
The stain typically lasts around one to two weeks when left on for 5-8 hours.   When the paste is left on for 12 hours or more (usually overnight) the stains can last 3 weeks to a month.  Henna dyes the top layer of skin and will last as long as that skin lasts.  The longer that the stain has an opportunity to set on the skin, the deeper the stain can penetrate and the longer the stain will last.

Q: How long does it take to dry?
It typically takes between 15 and 20 minutes for the henna paste to dry.

Q: How long do I leave it on for?
Leave the henna paste on for a minimum of 5 to 8 hours and avoid contact with water for 24 hours.

Q: Does it come in black?
No.  Henna is a plant with natural dyes in the color spectrum of orange, red and brown.  All natural "Black Henna" does not exist so anything advertised as black henna is more than likely black hair dye or some other chemical concoction that could harm you and your beautiful skin.  Please avoid any product that calls itself "Black Henna."
